猎人在苦苦搜猎之余，和女主人还有两个小孩渐生情愫，并目睹了塔斯马尼亚平原严重的环保危局，揭开了男主人失踪的迷局，发现了塔斯马尼亚虎的踪迹，更由此推断出了幕后的种种利益关联，于是，受雇的猎人就此停止狩猎，开始用心在孤儿寡母身上。
