云盛皇朝妖魅作乱，皇帝临终将盛宁公主下嫁伏龙大将军白奕。白奕入住公主府，要与公主而寝，公主向太后请求悔婚遭拒绝。经太医检验，皇帝死于急速衰老，白奕从中看出端倪。表姐别矜色诱白奕自讨没趣，白奕专心调查皇帝死因。公主与瑞王私奔被白奕守个正着，于是以自尽威胁白奕搬出卧房。公主被妖帮刺伤，关键时刻白奕赶到杀死刺客首领解救公主，两人关系缓和。回府后公主发现自己对白奕芳心暗许，便主动请将军上榻，白奕受到挑逗但最终避开。尾火虎挟持公主，众人发现别矜竟是杀死皇帝的心月狐。混战中，降妖师钟知杨赶到收服别矜，白奕杀死尾火虎却死在公主怀中。公主抱着白奕的骨灰轻生，不想被一少侠救下，对方正是白奕从小失联的弟弟。
