罗瑞与妹妹麦德琳相依为命, 整栋大宅只有一位年老的管家陪伴着兄妹俩。远从波士顿过来探访的年轻人-菲利普, 因为与麦德琳相恋, 想要把她从哥哥身边带走, 奈何哥哥罗瑞千方阻挠, 並且整栋大宅摇摇欲坠, 阴风阵阵, 几次的危险差点让菲利普丧命,某一天夜裡, 麦德琳死了... 菲利普痛不欲生, 无法接受她的死去, 当他知道这个家族深受邪恶的诅咒後, 麦德琳真的復活了....
