◎简　　介

桐壶帝（花川蝶十郎饰）宠妃更衣遭到其他嫔妃妒嫉，为免更衣之子遭人陷害，桐壶帝将其降为臣属，赐姓源氏。

光源氏（花ノ本寿饰）风流倜傥，文采横溢，但仕途坎坷。故而他自幼徘徊于红花绿草中，乐此不疲。与原配妻子葵姬的感情不和，他转而追求父亲的妃子藤壶（芦川いづみ饰），光源狂热的追求换来藤壶感情上的痛苦。最终这不伦之恋令藤壶产下一子，桐壶帝则视同己出。期间光源氏四下追求各类女子，空蝉、夕颜、六条妃子等皆在他的生命中留下重要痕迹。进香之际，光源邂逅藤壶的侄女紫姬（浅丘ルリ子饰），最终将年幼的紫姬带回府邸抚养，将其培养成心中理想的女性。

爱情虽然甜蜜，却仍要承受别离的痛苦，风光无限的光源氏更要亲自面对每一次的别离和失去……

本片根据日本同名古典小说改编。
