◎简　　介

浪人柴左近（丹波哲郎 饰）在旅行途中，偶然遭遇了三个恐慌的农民。他们不堪忍受地方长官松下宇左卫门（石_也 饰）的剥削与暴政，于是铤而走险，绑架了松下的女儿亚矢（桑野みゆき 饰）作为人质。左近深知农民们的做法何其危险，于是假意休息留了下来，并且击退了官兵的首次围捕。松下大怒，聚集了包括樱京十郎（長門勇 饰）和桔梗锐之介（平幹二朗 饰）在内的一众浪人前去营救，谁知京十郎与锐之介深解农民的苦衷，临阵倒戈站在了左近一方。
不久，松下又绑架了其中一名农户的女儿作要挟，左近不愿看到女孩受到伤害，情愿用自己的肉体苦痛换来农民的安全。但是他所面对的却是一个言而无信的无耻之徒……
