1937年一名女子被发现死于狐狸塔下，凶手几乎将她残忍地杀害。而警方的调查则草草锁定了几个嫌疑人：一名黄包车夫与一位神秘男子。北平警长方也生报告，尸体被掏空的心脏则难免让人联想起神秘的宗教祭祀活动，如果真的是祭祀，又是有多大的仇恨才要把一个无辜的女孩虐杀致死呢？人们不得而知。历史迷雾重重，这个曾轰动北平的案子藏在时间的尘埃里，而使其浮出表面的却是这个不起眼的注解。
