钟馗娘子劝黑金刚改恶从善不遂，反被打伤，为避追踪，乃隐姓匿于镖局当厨娘，养伤练武，准备日后复仇。时有年青女侠翠苹，仰慕钟武功非凡，四处寻访，欲投其门下，一日，翠往镖局打探钟下落途中，义助百姓制盗，钟恰巧路过，暗许翠行为；后钟屡暗助翠脱险，终被认出，钟为翠真诚感动，遂允收其为徒……
