本剧主要讲述了Mosley一家生活在新奥尔良郊外一个虚构的小镇上，他们开了镇上唯一一家殡仪馆，同时也熟悉这个小镇黑暗的秘密和历史。镇上凶宅知名﹑墓地越来越多﹑镇民怪异﹑有很多灵异现象，而这一切的始作俑者就是古老而神秘的恶棍The Dredge。
