本剧改编自同名漫画。杏野朱罗（松本若菜 饰）是帝释综合医院救命科的39岁救命医生。对于被送进来的急诊病人一律一视同仁，即使没有钱，即使是流氓，也抱着“绝对要救助”的强烈信念，完全没有考虑医院的情况或揣度上司的意思，一心一意地救助眼前的患者。越是攸关生死的修罗场越能发挥本领，有时还能同时治疗2名重症患者。从她的举止来看，被比作三面六臂的鬼神阿修罗而被院内称呼为“阿修罗医生”。另外，她拥有事先预知热线电话的特殊能力，只要朱罗说“来了”，热线电话就会响起，急诊患者就会被送进来。
这样的朱罗，绝不是天生的天才，而是经过血雨腥风般的努力和钻研才走到今天的。“修罗场没有‘再来一次’。如果弄错了，在那里的是‘死’”，朱罗最清楚这一点，在极限的压力下，继续站在生命的最前线。之所以能坚持到现在，似乎与某个人物的约定有关… 顺带一提，虽然她救命技能出众，但除此之外完全不行，日常生活懒散。
