柳生烈堂（大木实 饰）的三个儿子在追杀拜一刀父子的过程中接连战死，于是派出手里最后的王牌——善于使用手里剑的女儿香织（瞳顺子 饰）。最终仍难逃落败的命运。

愤怒的柳生烈堂找到自己庶出的儿子——土蜘蛛兵卫（木村功 饰）。善于使用土遁术的兵卫虽然憎恨生父，但仍接受任务，率领蜘蛛军团扑向拜一刀父子。沿途帮助过父子二人的普通百姓皆死于土蜘蛛手下，迫使拜一刀不敢乞食和投宿，以消耗其体力。待时机成熟，兵卫与拜一刀展开对决。

蜘蛛军团的失手令烈堂陷入狂怒，遂调来全部人马与拜一刀父子在雪山展开决战……
