◎简　　介

故事发生在一艘正在驶往波士顿的游轮上。半路上，邮轮遭遇了猛烈的风暴袭击，最终导致了抛锚。船只产生了裂缝，大量的海水开始渗入船体内部，如果不加以控制的话，整艘邮轮都将有沉没的风险。雷（卡西·阿弗莱克 Casey Affleck 饰）是船上职位最高的船员，这也就意味着，他对于船上30名船员的生命有着不可推卸的责任。经验丰富的雷决定不坐以待毙，而是带领船员们展开了自救行动。
与此同时，马萨诸塞州海岸警卫队收到了邮轮发出的求救信号，派出了救援队进行搜救，伯尼（克里斯·派恩 Chris Pine 饰）是搜救队的队长。在他的带领之下，四名队员驾驶着一艘非常简陋的木质救生船驶进了茫茫大海中。
