21世纪中叶，接受过灵素（魔力）强化手术，变成《魔王》的黑手党们掌控着东京的地下社会。而讨伐这些魔王的赏金猎人，就是被称为《勇者》的存在。
勇者透过名为《E3》的药剂强化灵素能力，对抗魔王。他们的杀戮行为被合法化，勇者成了一种「杀人」职业。
某天，一位正在见习当勇者的女高中生城峰，找上了自由接案的勇者《死神》矢代，还自称是他的「徒弟」。勉为其难收她为徒的矢代，随后却被卷入一连串的破事当中！
