阿强是分局侦查队破案率最高的小队?，他个性偏执，有话直说，观察力记忆力一流，却有情绪失控的问题，他把所有时间都留给工作，结婚4年的老婆小涵受不了他经常性的把家里当旅馆，坚持离婚。
在这时候，阿强接到一个案子：一年前，经营上钿简餐咖啡的老板阿力离家后再也没回来，随身携带的相机包被人发现在淡水海边，报案的妻子美茹表示阿力有忧郁症，担心他寻短，婆婆华姐却判断阿力不会自杀。
这个案件到底是自杀？还是谋杀？如果是谋杀的话，凶手又会是谁呢？
