◎简 介

.导演嘉兰形容影片中的“未来”相距离我们只有“十分钟远”，并解释“如果Google或者Apple的工程师明天就宣布，他们制造出了像片中艾娃那样的机器人，我们会很吃惊，但也不会太吃惊”。
.影片原名Ex-Machina来自于拉丁语Deus Ex Machina，意思是“来自机器的神”。源自希腊悲剧，饰演神的演员会从舞台顶端的平台(机器)上降下来，解决剧中问题，后被引申指意外介入而扭转局面的人。
.影片三位主要角色的名字都与圣经有联系。艾娃来自“伊娃”，世界上第一个诞生的女人，而内森是大卫身边的一位先知。迦勒是由摩西派遣到新世界的间谍，名字拼写与希伯来文的“忠诚”一致。
.艾娃的角色原先考虑由菲丽希缇·琼斯(《万物理论》)饰演。
