英国独立制作公司Arrow Media目前正在为这两家电视频道制作一部系列片，将直播国际空间站和休斯敦控制中心的实况。

这档两小时的特别节目名为《Live From Space》，将通过国家地理频道在170个国家和地区播出，同时英国第四频道和国家地理世界频道（Nat Geo Mundo）将同步播出该节目。

英国第四频道负责真实类特别节目的David Glover还预订了两部相关节目：展现国际空间站宇航员日常生活的《Astronauts: Living in Space》和表现地面控制中心人员工作场景的《Astronauts: Houston We Have a Problem》（两部节目的名称都是暂定，均为单集，每集60分钟）。

节目中宇航员Rick Mastracchio和Koichi Wakata和地面工作人员Mike Massimino将接受采访。除了展现从太空中拍摄到的地球、流星、雷暴画面外，空间站中宇航员的生活以及从未直播过的太空实验也是直播的主要内容。

观众可以通过网络视频连接与太空中的宇航员直接对话，他们的头像会被传输到太空中。

这部直播节目将于3月首播，正好与此前宣布的由福克斯公司和国家地理频道联手开发的13集系列片《宇宙：穿越时空的冒险》（Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey）的播出时间撞车。
