◎简 介
艾尔巴的角色埃文斯被描述为“恶性自恋”，为引起女性的注意“不惜使用暴力”，申请保释被驳回后，他从押解车中逃出，来到昔日恋人家中报仇。报仇完毕，又在一片漆黑的雨夜，出现在了泰瑞家门口。泰瑞有两个孩子，丈夫外出未归，她好心想借电话给埃文斯一用，却不料让自己和孩子都陷入了险境之中。
◎幕后花絮
导演萨姆·米勒可谓是好莱坞小荧屏导演中名气尚可的人物。其曾经执导的《此生》和《军情五处》可谓是口碑极好的佳作。而后来与本片主演艾尔巴合作过的美剧《路德》，不但收获包括艾美奖最佳导演提名等殊荣海为后者带来了金球奖视帝的殊荣。在这部其重返大银幕的并非商业大作中，虽然影片故事格局不大，角色不多，但影片自始至终散发出的优质惊悚氛围，足以证明了老道的米勒的水准依旧。而片中的大恶人——逃犯的扮演者伊德瑞斯·艾尔巴的演技则持续精进，其在《环太平洋》、《雷神》和《曼德拉》等片中的精彩表现，已然留给人们不错的印象。如今艾尔巴化身暴力倾向十足的逃犯，并在雨夜硬闯民宅，面对手无寸铁的妇幼，可谓凶相毕露。其骇人程度可见一斑。片中的女一号泰瑞，则由曾出演《像男人一样思考》演技派黑人女星塔拉吉·P·汉森担纲，她也将一个为生存而战为孩子而拼命的伟大母亲的精气神演绎得十分到位。
事实上，作为一部标准的独立影片，并不足以有更多的卖点。其商业元素全要靠影片自身的优质故事和演员们的出色发挥体现出来。这部原本早在一年多以前就完工的影片，至今才被出品方拿出来发行，更受到索尼娱乐如此影业大咖的亲自发行之殊荣，也足见该片本身并非下等之作。
