日前，新线电影公司买下了天后玛丽亚·凯莉一项关于圣诞节的电影计划，玛丽亚将在影片中饰演主要角色。这也是她自1994年推出现象级的圣诞专辑后，第一次将这个主题搬上大银幕。

据悉，玛丽亚此前和RatPac娱乐公司谈到过这个计划，对方的高层、著名导演布莱特·拉特纳也正是天后多年的好友，布莱特曾指导过《尖峰时刻》系列、《宙斯之子》、《X战警3》等片，还是美剧《越狱》、《十二生肖》的制作人。

圣诞节对于玛丽亚·凯莉来说有着特殊的意义，1994年发行了单曲“All I Want for Christmas Is You”后，20年来，几乎每年圣诞期间，这首歌都会在美国公告牌节日歌曲榜夺冠，成了名副其实的圣诞神曲，不论玛丽亚的事业曾陷入过怎样的低谷，只要一到圣诞节所有人都会想到这首歌想到她，更有粉丝戏称她为“圣诞天后”。

目前，影片的细节还没有更多透露，但音乐无疑将成为影片的一大看点，除了玛丽亚的经典歌曲外，还将有更多大牌歌手献艺。
