◎简　　介

严格的军校训练，是否能造就一名能上越南战场的斗士？杰夫奈特（迈克尔·杜迪考夫饰）是一名刚从西点军校毕业的年轻中尉，被派往越南一个小型军事基地驻守，基地中的其它士兵都是身经百战的沙场老将，年轻的杰夫经常是他们取笑的对象。还好，在长官麦纳玛拉（罗伯特·F·莱昂斯饰）的指导下，他逐渐抓到窍门，并有能力带领士兵们在丛林中作例行的巡逻。一日，他得知越共准备攻击他们的基地与附近的村落，于是，杰夫决定在敌人未行动前先发制人。没想到，因为通讯器材故障，使得他们的袭击失败。身处越南丛林的杰夫，是否能发挥斗士精神，突破重围、全身而退呢？
