纽约街头混混出生的戈蒂偶然结识了当时甘比诺家族的二当家安尼罗·德拉克罗什，教父卡洛·甘比诺去世之前却将位置传给了保罗·卡斯特兰诺，后也导致卡斯特兰诺谋杀案，戈蒂如愿当上该家族第七任教父，他和妻子维多利亚(凯莉·普雷斯顿)试图让家族在多项悲剧事件与犯罪指控的情况下团结一致。2002年，患癌的戈蒂在监狱中去世，终年61岁。
