故事讲述了4个好朋友连续3天的生活。3天过后，他们的生活再也无法回到过去，某人生活中的一刻，从此改变了一切。

Liza渴望安定和成功，但她的生活却总是被自己搞得一团糟。她很漂亮、很受欢迎，本该和女朋友Sally一起享受着在乐队的快乐时光。但是她们之间复杂的关系以及吸毒熬夜的生活方式把乐队弄得乌烟瘴气，也让Liza一直处于崩溃的边缘，Sally也因为某件事被内政部调查。在此同时，她们的两个好朋友Vin和Jamie每天就是开派对，歌舞升平。

当liza得知Sally和Vin打算为她的30岁生日开一个惊喜派对的时候，她又做出了错误的决定，引发的严重后果是她和Sally大打出手，关系更加紧张。但她们对音乐的共同信念和承诺又将她们拉回到一起。liza以为她们能够忘记一切，和好如初。但是一切都已经无法挽回，游戏即将结束。

Liza生日当天，4个好朋友一起聚餐，然而liza完全不在状态，导致整个生日宴又悲剧了。他们打算晚上去一个大型的非法集会忘记之前的这些不开心。随着夜幕降临，她们也各自消失在夜幕当中。第三天一大早，4个人又聚在一起，开始了另一段公路之旅。但是对liza来说，一切都变了，她知道自己想要的不止这些。当太阳缓缓升起，新的一天又开始了。Liza孤身一人，挥手告别了她的3个好朋友。
