末日之后的未来，一座充满垃圾和污染的小岛上居住着一群邪恶而有毒的人形动物。在这一肮脏的环境下，被社会遗弃的飞鸟男孩与小老鼠丁奇成了好朋友。两个注定相遇的灵魂结伴开启了一段冒险旅程，在这其中他们会遇到更多被抛弃和遗忘的孩子。他们必须要一起面对残酷的现实——他们居住的小岛在经历过一场生态灾难后变得荒芜，连呼吸的空气都是有毒的，但是与此同时他们又希望可以找到一个更好的居住地，继续生活下去。
