◎简　　介

货车司机强得知移居美国的骠叔新婚之喜，便赴宴祝贺。骠叔想婚后与黑人妻子安享晚年，故将经营多年的超级市场卖给一名年轻寡妇Elaine，强与Elaine初见面已互生好感。超级市场接手后，强主动协助Elaine打点业务，好景不长，超市运作得不错时，却有一班由Johnny为首的pun仔党来偷窃，给强揭发了，从此惹起斗争的危机。数番波折后，强和Elaine不但能逃过厄运，更得来意外收获。

幕后制作：

1995年1月，由唐季礼执导、成龙主演的影片《红番区》在中国内地上映，获得3500多万元的票房成绩，几乎是同期上映的好莱坞大片《亡命天涯》的3倍。由于上映时间正好在春节前后，因此《红番区》从真正意义上开创了中国内地的电影贺岁档。《红番区》也是成龙第一部制作费过亿元的电影，从《红番区》以后，成龙的每部影片投资都超过亿元。《红番区》以美国纽约为背景，故事简单直接，节奏爽快明朗，十分具有娱乐性。《红番区》亦是成龙打入好莱坞的里程碑之作，该片在美国获得了3234万美元的票房。
